Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV)
Recently, the Indian Space and Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully launched Earth Observation Satellite EOS-08 using SSLV-D3 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

About SSLV D3
- It is designed to launch mini, micro and nano satellites.
- It is a 3 stage launch vehicle configured with 3 solid propulsion stages and liquid propulsion based Velocity Trimming Module (VTM) as a terminal stage.
- It is capable of launching 500 kg satellites into a 500 km planer orbit.
- It is the third developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV).
