Long Range Glide Bomb (LRGB)- Gaurav

Recently, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has carried out a maiden flight test of Long Range Glide Bomb- Gaurav.

• It is an air launched 1000 kg glide bomb that can hit targets of long range. 
• It is indigenously designed and developed by the Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Hyderabad.
• It was carried out from Su-30 MK-I platform of the Indian Air Force off the coast of Odisha
• Development & Production Partners: Adani Defence and Bharat Forge

 

Key Features

• It utilizes a precise hybrid navigation system that combines Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) with the Global Positioning Systems (GPS) data to enhance accuracy. 
• It is designed to integrate with fighter aircrafts.
