INDUS-X Initiative

Recently, the Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. and the Ministry of Defence (MoD), India, participated in the 3rd India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Summit held in Silicon Valley, California.

Key Highlights

• The INDUS-X initiative continues strengthening India-US defence industrial cooperation and strategic technology partnership by fostering collaboration among governments, businesses, and academic institutions.
• The initiative is aligned with the U.S.-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET).
• It was jointly organised by the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) and Stanford University.
• The following agencies are steering the initiative:
  • iDEX (India): Innovation for Defence Excellence, on behalf of India’s Defence Ministry.
  • DIU (USA): Defense Innovation Unit, under the U.S. Department of Defense.
