Exercise KAZIND

The 8th edition of India-Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise KAZIND-2024 is scheduled to be conducted from 30th September to 13th October 2024 in Uttarakhand.

Key Highlights

• Under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, the joint exercise aims to enhance the joint military capability of both sides to undertake counter-terrorism operations in a sub-conventional scenario.
• The exercise will focus on various operations in semi-urban and mountainous terrain. 
• The exercise outcomes enhance physical fitness, rehearsing and refining drills for tactical operations and sharing best practices.
• It will facilitate developing interoperability between the two armies. 
• The exercise will also enhance defence cooperation and bilateral relations between the two friendly nations.
• The exercise has been held annually since 2016.
