Lepakshi Temple

Historians urged the government to take steps to get the Lepakshi temple included in the UNESCO heritage list.

Current Status  

The State and Central governments are now responsible for conducting a detailed study of the temple's architecture, sculptures, mural paintings, and the world's largest monolithic bull statue, known as Nandi. They will compile their findings into a report for the Central Government.
